Inside Sportfishing Featured on Penta Water's Website Inside Sportfishing Producer Gets Hooked on Penta Water, Will Feature on Show
Jan. 25, 2005 – Michael Fowlkes, Executive Producer of the Award Winning Inside Sportfishing television series, was so impressed at the quality of Penta water after sampling a case that he decided to feature it on his show.
Fowlkes discovered Penta at Vons Pavilion’s grocery store in Laguna Beach, Calif., when he helped an elderly woman load four cases into her cart. He asked her what was so special about Penta.
“This is the best water in the world, you’ve got to try it,” she said. “It will change your life.”
Fowlkes grabbed a bottle off the rack, tried it, liked the taste, and bought a case. He then contacted Bio-Hydration Research Lab, Inc. (BHRL), manufacturer of Penta water.
“I'm in love with your water. It's the cleanest tasting water I've ever had,” said Fowlkes, who has been a bottled water drinker since 1964. “I’ve been drinking [another brand] all these years, and now that stuff tastes like tap water compared to Penta. There’s just no comparison. Penta is the most incredible water I’ve ever tasted in all my life.”
Fowlkes and Marketing Director Marc Levine visited BHRL recently to film Penta inventor William D. Holloway, who gave them a personalized tour of Penta’s 110,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Carlsbad, Calif. In addition to having Penta water on the boat, Fowlkes also plans to give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at where and how Penta water is created.
“You’re running a first class operation and, without doubt, are producing the best water in the world. No one else even comes close,” commented Fowlkes after the tour.
Produced by fisherman, for fisherman, Inside Sportfishing's 30-minute action driven format has earned the series 14 Telly Awards for broadcast excellence—more than any other fishing show in history. The show, which airs on Fox Sports Net and The Sportsman Channel and was just awarded the Saltwater fishing show of the year by viewers, covers the globe’s most exotic locations from Canada and Alaska, to the tropical waters off Midway Island, Costa Rica, Australia, and New Zealand.
